Curious about what’s behind the line, we reached out to the company’s Founder to better understand how the brand and the products are built:

Tell us about the brand and its focus: Mimmua was created with a simple goal: to help people feel more confident in their skin through a consistent, effective routine. That extends beyond just the formulas. The brand places equal emphasis on how a product looks, feels, and is experienced, from packaging to application.

What product should people start with? The Volume Up Time Block Serum is our hero product and a great entry point. It’s built around two core ingredients: Volufiline, used to help soften the appearance of fine lines and add subtle volume, and Beta Glucan, a deeply hydrating ingredient derived from mushrooms that helps support the skin barrier. The formula uses 5% Volufiline, a concentration supported by testing, and pairs it with Beta Glucan to help offset potential irritation while boosting hydration.

What makes the line different from other K-beauty brands? Rather than focusing solely on novelty, Mimmua’s approach is more measured. The goal is to combine newer, high- interest ingredients with ones that are already familiar and well- tolerated, resulting in products that feel both effective and easy to incorporate into an existing routine.

Who is the line best suited for? The line is designed for anyone focused on improving hydration, texture, and overall skin quality, particularly those looking for subtle, cumulative results rather than quick fixes. It’s an easy addition for someone who wants to streamline their routine while still seeing visible improvement over time.

Can you tell us about your background? My path into skincare was not entirely linear. After growing up in Korea and later moving to Canada, I studied fashion at Parsons in New York before entering the beauty industry through retail.

From there, roles across multiple brands, spanning sales, marketing, and global e-commerce, provided a working understanding of both product development and consumer behavior, ultimately leading to the launch of Mimmua!

What’s next for the brand? Mimmua is just beginning to enter the U.S. market, currently reaching consumers through more direct channels (right now, Mimmua is available on Amazon) while building awareness among a more informed audience. The longer-term plan is to expand into major retail partners while continuing to scale globally.
