AUTHOR JANIKA OZA DISCUSSES HER NOVEL: A HISTORY OF BURNING

New Canaan Library is pleased to welcome Janika Oza to celebrate the release of the paperback edition of her debut novel, A History of Burning, in which the embers of a desperate act by a family’s patriarch are fanned into flame over four generations, four continents, throughout the twentieth century.

Along with a discussion and audience Q&A, Janika will be signing copies of A History of Burning. Elm Street Books will be on site selling books.

Janika Oza is the author of the novel A History of Burning, winner of the 2024 Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature, a finalist for the 2023 Governor General’s Award for Fiction, a finalist for the 2024 Carol Shield’s Prize, and a New York Times Editor’s Choice. She is the winner of a 2022 O. Henry Award and the 2020 Kenyon Review Short Fiction Award.
