Get ready for a taste of the NYC jazz scene, with a wild night at the Lewisboro Library on Friday, April 24 featuring Cary Brown and O.M.S.! Doors open at 7 PM, the concert begins at 7:30.
Cary Brown and O.M.S. (Organic Music Synthesis) is a funky jazz and rock infused jam band that features all the dynamic groove qualities of the best jam bands, combined with the musical versatility and precision of three seasoned veterans of the NYC area jazz scene.
Cary Brown, multi-keyboardist/producer/composer toured internationally throughout the 90s with Jamaican ska pioneers The Skatalites and the NYC based group The New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble. He has also performed and/or recorded with jazz legend John Scofield, Sloan Wainwright, and Rufus Wainwright. Joining Cary on drums is Joe Abba, one of the most in-demand groove players in the NYC area, and guitarist Paul Orbell who fuses rock, jazz, country, and blues into his edgy, soulful guitar playing.
Reserved seating is $45 per person. Wine, beer and light bites are included. This event is a benefit for the Lewisboro Library.
