Faces & Places: Street Photography Workshop in NYC with Butch Quick

  • Carriage Barn Arts Center 681 South Ave, New Canaan, CT 06840, New Canaan, CT 06840, United States (map)

Join award-winning photographer Butch Quick for a special Street Photography Workshop in New York City on June 27th. Butch is known for his ability to take extraordinary candid and close-up images of ordinary people moving through the streets, as well as dramatic shots of urban landscapes that capture a specific moment in time. Butch will share his insights about shooting “faces & places” with the urban backdrop of New York City, including earning the trust of his subjects and using unique perspectives and natural light to photograph architecture and cityscapes. Following the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to get together again for an in-person group critique session at the Carriage Barn at 6:30pm on Tuesday, June 30th.

This small group workshop is open to all levels of photographers but won’t cover photography basics, so please be comfortable using your own camera (or phone). The group will meet at Grand Central Terminal at 10:30am and travel together downtown to lower Manhattan, where you will explore the people and places of the city. We will provide additional details close to the date.

Requirements: Your camera (or iPhone), battery packs, memory cards, comfortable shoes, and open eyes!

Members $75 | Non-members $95
