This special screening of the documentary The Marc Black I Know (76 min.) is presented by the film’s director Bahman Soltani, who will answer questions after the show. The film follows the colorful journey of singer, songwriter, and performer Marc Black, someone who loves Woodstock and who has found inspiration for life’s song in Woodstock. When there were other options, he chose the Woodstock mindset.
Director Bahman Soltani has worked on many independent films, behind and in front of the camera, as a Director of Photography, producer, writer, director, actor, and Adjunct Professor at City College of New York.
The Marc Black I Know has received awards at the LA Indies, the Nevada International Film Festival, and the Saath Joy Foundation International Film Festival, and was officially selected for the Spain International Film Festival and the Germany International Film Festival. The Woodstock Museum Film Festival opened its 26th season with this film in 2025.
