After the screening of Modernism, we invite you to join us for a private reception in The Marquis Lounge with architect Fred Noyes, son of influential mid-century architect and designer Eliot Noyes, best remembered as the man behind IBM’s landmark design program in the 1950s and 1960s. Eliot, a member of New Canaan’s legendary “Harvard Five,” helped establish the town as a hub of Modernist design, and Fred has carried that legacy forward through his own distinguished career in architecture and education. This special evening offers a relaxed and memorable opportunity to enjoy a drink, mingle, and continue the conversation about New Canaan’s extraordinary role in shaping modern architecture—directly with someone who has lived it in the award-winning Marquis Lounge atop The Playhouse.
$35 – General admission to see the film with Q&A between Fred Noyes and The Playhouse’s Luke Parker Bowles.
$50 – A private reception in the Marquis Lounge with Fred Noyes following the screening.
