Reuse & Recycle Art Workshop with Alex Eaves & Deek Diedricksen at the Carriage Barn for children 8+

  • Carriage Barn Arts Center 677 South Avenue New Canaan, CT, 06840 United States (map)

An amazing opportunity for young creators to learn from two masters of eco-design! Come join our reuse art workshop hosted by Alex Eaves, founder of "Escape the Waste" and Deek Diedricksen, creator of the Off Grid Tiny House.

They will lead collaborative projects such as designing quirky wooden cat and dog characters and objects from wood scraps, and create martian plants using concrete and recycled odds and ends as well as other eco projects. This is a hands on workshop where you will pick up tips and tricks from the experts in recycling, reusing and repurposing and building!

Using almost nothing but reused, repurposed, and dumpster-dived materials, Alex Eaves and Derek “Deek” Diedricksen convert a 17-foot moving truck into a 98-square-foot tiny house and mobile reuse education center. We are delighted to welcome them to the Carriage Barn whilst they are visiting New Canaan!

If you have any used or half used acrylic paints, please do bring them with you! All other materials will be provided.

$50 per child / Pls register; Cancellation policy – Refunds can be issued if requested more than 2 weeks in advance of the class starting, minus a $20 processing fee
