The Ridgefield Theater Barn will present What the Constitution Means to Me starting January 31, 2025. The play, by Heidi Schreck, is directed by Nancy Limbacher Meyer and stars Ann Alford, Timothy Huber, and Zoe Guaman. Performances will take place Friday and Saturday evenings from January 31 through February 15, 2025 at 8pm, with Sunday matinees February 2 & 9, 2025 at 2pm.

What the Constitution Means to Me is a memoir play by actor-playwright Heidi Schreck, who, as a teenager, earned money for college by giving speeches and engaging in debates about the U.S. Constitution in American Legion halls across the country. Over the course of the play, Schreck addresses themes such as women’s rights, immigration, domestic abuse, and the history of the United States. Schreck varies the time period in which the play takes place, performing some scenes as her modern self and others as her fifteen-year-old self participating in Constitutional debate contests.
