The Giggling Pig
Part studio, part community hub, The Giggling Pig brings joyful art, music, camps, and parties to Pound Ridge. Founded by educator and professional cellist Jessica Elkhatib-Hynes, it’s a warm, creative space where kids discover confidence, connection, and a whole lot of fun.

Purple Plains
Cannabis is legal for regulated ‘recreational’ sale, and permitted use in most places where smoking a cigarette is allowed, in both New York and Connecticut. However, by quirk of law, exercise of government, and twist of fate, Purple Plains - located at 32 Westchester Avenue in Pound Ridge - is the only licensed cannabis store in the B&NC area!

Bedford & New Canaan Magazine's fifth annual 18 Under 18 section is always the highlight of our September/October Education Issue… and every year we are more and more impressed with the achievements of the 18 selected students - and with the quality of the hundreds of nominees entered. We have an incredibly difficult time narrowing down the list because of the intriguing paths that so many different students have selected. From Singers and Dancers to a Mountain Climber, Engineers and Activists, a Filmmaker, and even a Speed Cuber... we are particularly excited by this class!
